A substantial 19th-century mahogany pedestal, having a circular moulded top above a boldly turned capital. The cylindrical column is decorated with vertical fluting and raised upon a stepped circular base, terminating on a square plinth with canted corners.
The mahogany has a rich, deep colour and polished finish. A practical decorative stand, ideal for displaying a sculpture, vase, bust or plant.
