A handsome and substantial Sheraton Revival mahogany open bookcase, finely decorated with satinwood inlay. The upper frieze features an elegant arrangement of ribbon-tied swags, framed by contrasting satinwood banding, with further delicate line inlay continuing down the uprights.
The projecting moulded cornice is finished with a dentil-carved border, while the open front is divided into two generous sections. Each section is fitted with six adjustable shelves, offering excellent flexibility for displaying books of varying sizes, decorative objects or a collection.
