A decorative signal cannon featuring a substantial cast-iron barrel with moulded ring decoration and a flared muzzle. The barrel is mounted upon a well-constructed oak carriage with stepped sides, retaining wedges and four turned wooden wheels.
The ironwork has developed an attractive aged patina, complemented by the warm colour and grain of the oak carriage. A characterful display piece for a study, library or maritime collection.
The barrel appears to have been blocked and has not been tested.
