A handsome pair of oval side tables in the Regency style, beautifully finished in richly figured flame mahogany veneers. Each table has a finely matched, radiating veneered top framed by a broad crossbanded border.
The shaped frieze incorporates a useful drawer, decorated with contrasting line inlay and fitted with two circular gilt-brass handles. Gilt-brass floral paterae divide the frieze, with a continuous decorative brass moulding applied around the lower edge.
Each table stands on four slender, gently swept and tapering legs terminating in brass-capped feet. The legs are united by gracefully arched cross-stretchers, centred by a decorative gilt-brass pineapple finial.
