A handsome figured mahogany tallboy or linen press, of late Georgian / early Victorian style, combining elegant proportions with practical storage. The upper section is enclosed by a pair of finely panelled doors, each framed with moulded edges and embellished with carved foliate corner details. A decorative brass drop handle sits centrally, opening to an interior fitted with a series of sliding trays above fixed shelving, ideal for linen or clothing storage.
The lower section is formed as a bow-front chest of two long drawers, retaining brass swan-neck handles and shaped fronts that follow the gentle serpentine outline of the case. The cabinet stands on well-carved bracket feet with acanthus detail, while additional carved ornament enriches the corners and moulded edges, lending depth and character to the overall design.
