A decorative Louis XVI style giltwood window seat, having gracefully curved sides with finely woven cane panels and scroll-shaped top rails. The caned seat is fitted with a loose green velvet cushion for comfort.
The frame is decorated with carved floral paterae and leaf-pattern moulding, raised on four elegant turned and fluted legs. The gilt finish has mellowed attractively, giving the piece a wonderfully warm and characterful appearance.
