A handsome and exceptionally large mahogany dining table of Regency Revival design, standing on three finely carved pedestal supports and extending to accommodate substantial seating. The top displays beautifully figured flame mahogany veneers arranged within a crossbanded border, the rich grain and warm colouring creating an elegant and highly decorative surface.
The table is raised on three substantial turned and fluted pedestal columns, each terminating in four sweeping sabre legs enriched with crisp carved decoration, bead moulding and floral details. The feet are finished with bold Greek key blocks, a classical motif that complements the Regency-inspired design. The quality of the carving throughout is particularly noteworthy, lending the piece a sense of both grandeur and refinement.
Retaining two additional leaves, the table can be configured to suit a variety of room sizes and occasions, from everyday dining through to large-scale entertaining. The triple-pedestal construction provides excellent stability while ensuring generous leg room for diners.
