A very handsome and well proportioned flame mahogany breakfront sideboard of Regency revival design, constructed in richly figured mahogany with striking flame veneered panelled cupboard doors throughout. The shaped breakfront form is enhanced by finely reeded stiles, moulded edge top and a deep plinth base, giving the piece an elegant yet substantial appearance.
The sideboard is fitted with three frieze drawers to the top, the central drawer being lockable and flanked by two smaller drawers, all retaining attractive brass swan neck handles and escutcheons. Below are four cupboard doors opening to shelved interiors, providing excellent practical storage. The dramatic flame mahogany veneers to the doors are particularly decorative and create a wonderful symmetry across the front of the cabinet.
Raised on a solid plinth base.
