A finely detailed pair of Sheraton Revival demi-lune cabinets, crafted in satinwood and enriched throughout with hand-painted neoclassical ornament.
Each cabinet has a semi-circular top painted with floral sprays and a central shell motif. The curved frieze incorporates a working drawer at the top, while the matching sections at either side are faux drawer fronts. These open as cupboard doors to reveal further shelved storage.
The cabinet fronts are centred by painted oval reserves depicting classical urns, flanked by panels of classical figures. Floral garlands, ribbons, swags and finely painted borders complete the decoration, while the warm satinwood provides an elegant golden ground.
Raised on square tapering legs, the cabinets offer useful storage within a graceful demi-lune form. They would work well as side cabinets or console pieces.
